Transponder Hire Information
All bikes MUST have a transponder on before they can enter the track.
Transponder Deposits
Transponder deposits will be taken online again and held for the duration of the racing year.
How to make your deposit:
NOTE: Due to the company we hire the transponders from now charging us $100 for every transponder not returned at the end of each round the security deposit has been raised to $100.
You must return your transponder at the end of each event or you will forfeit your deposit and need to express post the transponder back the next day.
Any issues entering your deposit online please see the timekeepers on the morning of the event.
You must collect this transponder after you sign on in the morning.
You can collect your transponder from the timekeepers who in the morning will be located right beside sign on.
Should you decide on the day you want to enter the racing then a laptop can be provided to allow for online entry still. Please note you will still need to know your bank account details, without these we won't be able to refund your deposit.
If for any reason you leave the track and do not return your transponder you will forfeit your deposit. You will also receive a phone call and an address to EXPRESS POST your transponder back to.
The reason for this is, we at motorcycle sportsmen do not own the transponders we hire them from the track. We do not keep your forfeited deposit it goes straight to the track owners when we return the other transponders. They must be express posted back as we are not the only club who uses them and they are required for other meetings.
All Transponders must be attached to your bike using a bracket ( available from timekeepers, it is then yours to keep.) You will also need to have cable/zip ties to secure it with the bracket. The transponder must be placed on your bike on your front fork left hand side. This is to enable it to be read properly by our timing system, to ensure you receive times.
If you have multiple bikes it is possible to receive multiple transponders if you wish. Otherwise you must remember to switch transponders between races.
Should you have your own transponder, please advise timekeepers of the number of it and it will be entered into the system so long as it is compatible with our timing system. It is up to you to make sure your personal transponder is charged, should it fail, come see timekeepers to hire one for the day.
For both racing and track days your times will be available on the speed hive app where there will be live timing available. Timekeepers are available all weekend for any questions you should have about your times, the system or live timing.
Lastly, please remember your timekeepers are also volunteers, without whom the meetings would not go ahead. They also like to go home to their families after a weekend of racing and while they understand at the end you are all busy packing up and talking, please remember to return your transponders as soon as you finish your last race!
They cannot leave the track until they have allocated all transponders. Meaning sometimes they are there hours after racing finishes, having already been there hours before it starts. Just remember, finish your last race, bring transponder back. Simple as!
