Road Race Classes of Competition
The Club conducts three (3) levels of competition which are; Closed to Club, Open and State Championship. Different classes of machinery are run at different levels of competition, which are listed below.


Closed to Club Classes of Competition

Formula 1
A & B grade competitors only for;
Formula Unlimited (750cc to 1300cc)
Supersport (600cc production)
Sportsmen Superstock (refer to the
Club Superstock governing rules)

Formula 2
C & D grade competitors only for;
Formula Unlimited (750cc to 1300cc)
Supersport (600cc production)
Sportsmen Superstock (refer to the
Club Superstock governing rules)

Formula 3
250cc production
Multi cylinder machines up to 400cc
Supermono machines


Formula 4
125 GP machines
Forgotten era machines (Jan 1973 to Dec 1980)
Post classic machines (Jan 1963 to Dec 1972)
Superlites (100cc two stroke and 150cc four stroke)
New era machines (January 1981 to December 1989 & January 1990 to December 1995)


Formula 5
Sidecars

Street Racer
First time competitors who wish to race their street motorcycles.  Machinery will be split into an up to 600cc class an an over 600cc class.

Machines that are not listed above will be slotted into one of the above classes based on lap times, machine type and rider ability.


State Championship Classes of Competition

Formula Unlimited
Solo machines 750cc to 1300cc

Supersport
Supersport - 600cc production based machine
Superstock - 600cc production based machine restricted to C & D grade riders
750cc twin cylinder as per Supersport rules

Formula 400
Multi cylinder machines up to 400cc

125 Grand prix
125 GP machines

Sidecars
Formula 1, formula 2, post classic and classic


Open Events Classes of Competition

The Club will determine classes of competition dependant on the type of meeting. The classes for each Open Event will be notified in the relevant Supplementary Regulations.

Supermotard Classes of Competition

The Club supermotard state and club championships will run the following classes;

Unlimited (S1)
301cc+ 2 stroke and 451cc+ 4 stroke, supermotard wheels

Sport (S2)
126cc to 300cc 2 stroke and 251cc to 450cc 4 stroke, supermotard wheels

Lites (S3)
Up to 125cc 2 stroke and up to 250cc 4 stroke, supermotard wheels

Clubman
C grade competitors only, no restriction on bike capacity or wheel size

Veteran
40+ years of age competitors, no restriction on bike capacity or wheel size

Juniors
Up to 125cc 2 stroke and up to 250cc 4 stroke, no restriction on wheel size
