Final Instructions for Round 2 of the Southern Downs Challenge to be held at Warwick this weekend are now available here.

Bereavement Notice

James Wood, member of Motorcycle Sportsmen sadly passed away last week due to long term illness.

For those who wish to pay their repects - his funernal is being held 1pm Tuesday at the Uniting Church, Robinson Rd Asply. Check the paper tuesday to confirm.

The Qld Government has released a motorcycle safety consultation paper. This paper is available for public comment up until the 30th May 2008. If you ride motorcycles on the road, are looking at obtaining a road motorcycle licence or would just like to have a look, the paper can be found here. The club encourages all interested parties to have their say, if you don't - who will?

We require the services of a Motorcycle Assembler and also a Motorcycle Detailer. Work is full time Monday to Friday and also will require some Saturday mornings. 2008 Australian Supermoto Championships

Dates and Locations are:

Round 1: 7-8 June, Ipswich, QLD

Round 2: 9-10 August, Mildura, VIC

Round 3: 28-29 November, Northam, WA

The first round will be promoted by the Motorcycle Sportsmen of Queensland, the second round will be promoted by the North West Victoria MCC and the final round will be promoted by the Supermoto Club of WA and Premier Events.

The Supplementary Regulations for Round 2 of the Southern Downs Challenge to be held at Morgan Park on the 17th & 18th May are now available here.

75 CAP IS NOW FULL - If you wish to participate in this next track day, you are required to provide a volunteer to assist. Another 25 applications will be accepted until the total cap of 100 participants is reached.

The next SUPERMOTO PRACTICE will be held at Ipswich Kart Track, Champions Way, Willowbank on Saturday - 24th May

Session: 4pm to 9pm (Bitumen Only). Normal Direction

Cost is $50 for the session plus a $20 MA Recreational Licence if you do not hold an annual Recreational Licence or Competition licence.

Practice sessions are open to the public. So if you have a dirt orientated machine, you are eligible to come and "Have A Go".

The Top End Road Race Association (TERRA) are promoting the TTC at Hidden Valley in Darwin in July. See the flyer here. Contact Roger Heyes at Startline Racing (07) 3290 4555 if you are interested in competing. Roger will be organising bike freight to the event.

The Club's 2007 Annual General Meeting was held on Monday, 29th October, the entire 2007 committee was reinstated unopposed with only a change to President and Vice President occurring. Congratulations to the 2008 Managment Committee:
